Stuart Quirk
Ph.D.

My treatment approach is warm, direct, and collaborative.  Since 1999, I work primarily with adult clients who seek a reduction of symptoms as well as addressing long-term, underlying concerns. During my experience as doctoral program faculty at Central Michigan University, I realized the importance of learning about patterns of emotional experience within current and historical relationships. I have training in a variety of approaches and often blend cognitive-behavioral (CBT), Rogerian, and psychodynamic/interpersonal.

I also conduct individual psychological assessments for all ages (6 yrs and up), diagnostic interviews, and more in-depth assessments utilizing standardized and normed instruments. These assessments address the possible presence of ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, personality functioning, and disorder, as well as other major psychiatric disorders. Insurances accepted: Blue Cross.
