Ph. D.

As a therapist, my goal is to make myself unnecessary by teaching clients better ways to manage distressing thoughts and behaviors. I tend to use primarily a cognitive behavioral perspective in my work, though I enjoy adding in additional treatment techniques when appropriate, including elements of Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. While I am comfortable working with patients struggling with many different issues, I focus my practice on disordered eating, depression, and anxiety. My clinical training has largely been in Behavioral Medicine and prior to starting a private practice I worked in hospital settings.

At present I work with Blue Cross Blue Shield and also self-pay patients. I see patients in person and virtually.
