I believe therapy is about helping people become the best versions of themselves and accepting themselves the best that they can. Instead of the expectation of perfection or ‘fixing’ insecurities within ourselves; I help clients shift towards focusing attention and energy on the things that they value within themselves and not letting the negative thoughts drag them down.
I work best with individuals (ages 12 and up) and couples who may be struggling with things like self-image issues, codependency, anxiety, and adult ADHD. I also have experience working with survivors of domestic violence, treatment of substance use disorders, adults on the Autism Spectrum, and college counseling. I have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I see clients in person or virtually on Wednesdays and Fridays; and I accept UHC, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and most EAPs.
